A baby in October!

Instead of November! Well, my baby had a mind of it's own and decided to enter the world a few weeks early (about 5 weeks). Early last Thursday morning (just before 3 am) I woke up as my water broke and we rushed to the hospital. I was supposed to have a planned c-section so we did not hang around and wait for my contractions to start. 3 hours later my baby boy was born. He's in NICU now, trying to gain weight and control his body temperature. I got out of the hospital on Sunday, could have gone home on Saturday, that's how great my recovery has been. I'm doing good as long as I take it slow. I spend about 4 hours a day at NICU with my son, even if he's just sleeping, I just want to be there, I just bring my knitting with me.

Enough of the chit chat, here are a couple of pics of my little prince, Theodor Jesse

This one was taken during the weekend, he had pulled his oxygen out and pulled his hat off.

This pic was taken on Monday. Had pulled his IV of the back of his hand and the nurse put it on his head instead. Here he's off the oxygen.

He's so tiny, he weighed 5 lbs. (2260 gr) at birth and was 19 inches long (48.5 cm).

We don't know when he gets to come home to us, it all depends on how good he eats and if he can keep himself warm.

I'll post a Christmas card here sometime in the next few days...if my brain allows me....today I started pumping for milk and forgot to attach a bottle to the pump! *lol*

Magnolia Christmas

This card is made with Basic Grey scraps I had in my stash and Stampin'Up card stock. The image is colored with my Stampin'Up ink and the dress is paper pieced.

Again I've used my SU ink to color in the image. The pattered paper is partly from Basic Grey and partly "unknown"....something from my stash.

Here I'm using patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.
The little girl's dress is so perfect for paper piecing. The stamp is from Magnolia and I think it's so cute.

My pregnancy is going pretty good. I've got gestational diabetes so I get check-ups every week. The baby seems to be growing normally and I'm able to keep my blood sugar numbers pretty good so right now I don't need any medicin or insulin. Hopefully I can keep it that way until the baby's out. My biggest problem at the moment is finding pants that fit and are comfortable...I just feel like wearing my jammies all day ;)

Happy World Card Making Day!

And of course I've got a couple of cards to show you today.

I'm still working on using up my scrap pile. The stamp is from Stampin'Up. I used my Nestabilities to cut the circle and the scallop circle. Pretty simple, no glitter....just a simple boy card.

And I actually made a Halloween card. I never make those. I think this is the only Halloween stamp I have actually. Not that I'm against Halloween, I just didn't grow up celebrating it. All the card stock is from Stampin'Up and I used my Stampin'Up markers to color in the image....and put glitter on it of course. I got out my Cuttlebug embossing folders instead of buying Halloween patterned paper.

Elegant Christmas

I was trying to come up with some elegant Christmas cards. Most of my Christmas stamps would not fall in that category so I had to put on my thinking cap.
I got out my gold card stock from Stampin'Up and dry embossed it in my Cuttlebug. I then cut it into triangles to make Christmas trees. I remembered I had the designer paper with the gold swirls somewhere in my stash and dug it out. I used my Nestabilities scallop circle dies on my first card but pkept the next two cards even simpler.

This last card I actually made for a challenge over at Moxie Fab World the first week of September.

Magnolia Christmas

I had the image (Magnolia) all ready from last Christmas. Just had to look for paper in my stash to match the image. I used old Christmas paper from BoBunny. I used a border punch from Martha Stewart and the green ribbon is from Stampin'Up.

This card is made for the challenge over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar".

The challenge was to make fall inspired projects. I think the colors in this card make good fall colors. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye and the stamp is Gretel from C.C. Designs. I paperpieced her clothes and loaded them with glitter.

Inkadinkado Christmas birdie.

I got this image ready around last Christmas, but didn't use it at the time (obviously). I stamped the image in Versamark and covered it with black embossing powder. I then heat embossed it. I brayered the image with Soft Sky and then sponged Night of Navy around the edges. Sanded the edges and used a white Signo gel pen to color in some of the snowflakes. I then covered the whole image with Versamark and covered it with Iridescent Ice glitter embossing powder and heat embossed it. The big chipboard snowflake is from Bazill and I just covered it with Crystal Effects and Martha Stewart glitter.

I really like how it turned out, looks pretty simple and clean.

I just love making Christmas cards and I've got so much "Christmas" designer paper I need to go through before I can even look at all the new Christmas paper.....I'm not sure I'll be able to buy any of the new stuff.

This cute little snowman is from a clear stamp set from Hampton Art. I, of course, covered it with glitter after coloring it in. the designer paper is from Scenic Route, it's a couple of years old and I still love it. Too girly to use on my Christmas layouts though.

I haven't posted anything on my blog for a while. The summer heat has been killing me. I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant now, expecting another boy. I'm still working a little bit and tomorrow I've gotta take the 3 hour diabetes test (I tried once but failed when my stomach couldn't take the smell (BO) from a guy in the waiting room at the lab). I hope I can keep the sugar drink in my stomach for 3 hours tomorrow, I really don't want to go through all this again.

Anyway, I'll be posting mostly Christmas cards from now until Christmas, I might add a few regular cards in between.

Magnolias and more

It's been a while since my last post. I'm getting back on track, I've just been extremely tired all the time, I'm expecting our second child and am almost through the first trimester. So now I'm getting my energy back and I've been able to make a few cards this past week or so. I'm on a roll now ;) I've been playing with my Magnolia stamps a little bit and trying to use up some of my patterned paper. I need to use my paper before buying more.

Here I've matched Tilda up with Basic Grey's Cupcake collection. I used my Stampin'Up inks to color in the image and the card stock and ribbon are also from SU.

I don't think I've actually made a card with this Edwin image before. I decided to paper piece his clothes here and I used Basic Grey's Offbeat collection. I used A LOT of Crystal Effects here, I covered almost all of Edwin with is, and where I didn't use Crystal Effects I used Stickles glitter glue.

Today is the National (or International) Scrapbooking Day so I feel like I should post my latest LO. Now, if I were in the fashion business I would have been fired on the spot for mixing so many different patterns...

so lycky for me I'm just a crafter ;) The paper I used here is from Basic Grey's Wassail collection.

Can you tell I'm a BG fan???

I am planning on scrapping tonight. I've got a few pictures from our trip to Florida that I want to play with.

I've got a few more cards to show you, there's a new challenge over at SIK and I had to make something of course ;) I'll post my creations soon, I haven't put the pics on the computer yet.

Hello Hello

I'm still alive and kickin' ....just barely though. I haven't had much time to create much of anything. I did manage to squeeze in time to make a card and a page for SIK's newest challenge, I was asked to be a guest designer ;) So happy to say yes to that request!

I wanted to try to make a card using the sketch provided in the challenge. The stamp is from Sarah Kay, I colored it in with my SU ink. The sentiment is from Skrappa. The designer paper is Basic Grey and the rest is SU. The card size is 6x6 inches.

And here's the page. The scalloped square is from Bazzill, I also used designer paper from Basic Grey. the big flower is from Petaloo. It's a simple page, I like the card better.

We went to Florida for a week, my FIL had a Navy reunion and we wanted to attend it. We also managed to go to the beach once and celebrate my DS's 4th birthday (which was actually today).

I had one day off work after we got back home to relax before going back to work. And I so needed that extra day, I wasn't able to catch much sleep in the car, we drove over night for about 11 hours and I was so exhausted. But then it was back to work and I only got Easter Sunday off and then it was back to work. The store was crazy busy before Easter, I don't notice that people are holding back because of recession....and it was busy yesterday too. Today was a little bit slower.

We spent Easter Sunday with friends and had so much fun. The kids thought the egg hunging was so much fun they wanted to do it again, so the actually hunted for eggs twice. Some of the eggs didn't make it through the second hunt though.

Anyway, I hope y'all had a nice Easter! I think I'll hit the sack early tonight!

SIK#10

The challenge over at SIK right now isto include circles in you creations. Pretty easy I guess. I've made a few things, they're not any masterpieces but they'll do I guess.
Here's a scrapbook page I made.

These are pictures from Christmas 2007 and I had too many to fit on one page (or they were too big) so I came up with this:

I made a hidden mini album. The designer paper is from SEI, I love their papers! The flowers are from Petaloo.

Here's a card made with a Whipper Snapper stamp and Basic Grey designer papers. Simple but I made 8 of these (6 for a swap).

These are mini cards that I made, all ingredients are from Stampin'Up except the Nestability dies that I used for the circles and scallops.

I haven't had much of a mojo in the last few days, spend the second half of last week with a stomach bug, had a few hours to myself on Sunday but couldn't come up with anything to make. I'm working on a scrapbook page right now and hope to post it before the weekend. We're going to drive to Florida on Saturday night, my FIL has a Navy reunion and the whole family is going, it'll probably be his last one. It's guys from his ship that survived when the Japanese sank their ship however many years ago. I haven't been to Florida in almost a year and a half so it's about time.
Well, I've got a Grey's Anatomy DVD to watch before I go to bed.

7 cards in 7 days

Here are the cards I mader for the 7/7 card challenge at an icelandic scrapbook forum.
Card 1 Red/Pink

The first day we were supposed to use pink and red on our cards, love theme. I used a sketch from MojoMonday. Stampin'Up papers and stamps in background, Wordsworth stamp.
Card 2 Circle

The second day we used circles in our cards....my Nestabilities were perfect for that challenge ;) Basic Grey designer paper and Elzybells stamp.
Card 3 Teen girl

The third card was supposed to be for a teenage girl, I asked my DH which I shoud use, a dress stamp or a skull stamp.....he picked the skull obviously, saying it was way cooler than a dress ;) BoBunny designer paper, Nestabilities and a skull stamp from Stampin'Up. We had to use glitter on the card and I covered the skull with glitter.
Card 4 Sketch

We had to use a sketch (provided in the challenge) and I decided to make a birthday card for my 4 year old nephew. BoBunny designer Paper and a Sugar Nellie stamp.
Card 5 Pocket and tag

We had to make a card with a pocket and a tag. I cheated a little bit (I think) because Idecided to hide the tag behind the image. The sentiment is from Skrappa. The girl is a Magnolia stamp. Basic Grey designer paper.
Card 6 Manly Card

It's always hard to make a male card but I think I pulled it off. The stamp is from Stamping Bella and the designer paper is from Basic Grey.
Card 7 Flowers

The last challenge was to use flowers on our card. All supplies Stampin'Up.

It really helped me that I keep extra images that I have already colored. So in stead of worrying about stamping and coloring I could just find papers that matched the images ;) It was so much fun to get a challenge every day.

SIK challenge #9

I think the image is from hÄnglar & stÄnglar, I got it in an image swap. the flowers are from Prima, the papers are from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie and Stampin'Up (card stock). The sentiment is a stamp from Skrappa. I colored the image with my SU inks, markers and blender pens. I want to make a scrapbook LO too but it'll have to wait. I'm participating in a cardmaking challenge over at scrapbook.is, we make 7 cards in 7 days and there's a challenge for each card. I'm going to post them here all at once when the challenge is over.
We got some snow on Sunday and Monday (more than usually here at my house) and of course DS wanted to go play. He made his first snowman and was so proud of it!

Well, this'll do for now, I've got a few chores waiting to be done ;)

Stelpuferming

Kortin eru gerð úr Urban Prairie pappírnum frá Basic Grey. Hægt er að einfalda þau með því að taka eitt undirlag í burtu (annað hvort það græna eða bleika s.s.) og í staðinn fyrir að klippa út krossa þá er hægt að stimpla krossana. Ég bætti við glimmeri á krossana. Brúnu doppurnar vinstra megin á kortunum eru bara gerð með venjulegum gatara. Hægt er að svissa út krossunum fyrir kjóla. Ég hef t.d. bara brotið saman prentarapappír og teiknað helming af kjól á brotið og klippt út og voilá! þá er komið kjólamót ;)
Strákaferming

Þetta kort er gert eftir sömu "skissu" og stelpukortin en er aðeins einfaldara. Hérna væri líka hægt að stimpla kross í stað þess að klippa hann út. Pappírinn sem er notaður hér er úr Granola línunni frá Basic Grey. Svo er hægt að skipta krossinum út fyrir bindi ;)
Brúðkaup
Ef þið eruð að spá í boðskortum í brúðkaup ekki þá hafa of mikið af smáatriðum. Þó það sé flott að hafa alls konar smáatriði þá þarf líka að spá í hversu mörg kort þarf að gera. Ef maður er að senda út 100-200 boðskort þá bæði tekur styttri tíma að gera einföld kort og það sparar í kostnaði.

Þessi tvö kort eru gerð úr bæði Granola og Urban Prairie. Ég vildi nota blúndu á kortin en eftir mikla leit í dótinu mínu þá gafst ég upp og tók fram pöns. Ég mæli ekki með því að nota svona pöns fyrir boðskort, það er bæði tímafrekt og hætta á krampa í höndum ;) Blúnda er tilvalin fyrir boðskort. Svo er jafnvel hægt að skipta út riflaða pappírnum fyrir breiðum borða. Hægt er að sleppa tölunum á hjörtunum og setja kannski smá glimmer í staðinn.
Ef þið viljið fínlegri kort þá er hægt að skipta út litum, nota hvítt/svart/rautt, hvítt/svart/gyllt, svart/gyllt/rautt o.s.frv.

Þetta kort er svolítið litríkt en mér fannst litirnir bara svo flottir saman. Ég notaði pappír úr Urban Prairie línunni. Hægt er að skipta hringnum út fyrir stórt Petaloo blóm og setja eitt stórt hjarta inn í blómið í staðinn fyrir öll litlu hjörtun. Og hægt er að skipta út litunum eins og ég sýndi fyrir ofan.

Mojo Monday Week 74

I decided to try out a sketch over at Mojo Monday. Of course I'm a little late but that's ok.

The stamp is from Stampavie and the designer paper is from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie. I colored the image with my SU inks and blender pens. I actually made this car last week but what reminded me that I hadn't posted it yet was this post here from Bethany Paull. Notice anything?? We used the same designer paper and in the same way. That's just too funny ;)

Finally my mini album

A week has passed...instead of just a day, from my last post. Last week I was fighting a very bad headache, and I never get headaches. So my time off work was spent trying to get rid of my aches and pains...mostly by sleeping. I did take an extra shift at work too.
But here it is:

A lot of pictures I know. I got the Basic Grey Granola Collection the other week and looked through the papers a little bit and decided they would be great for snow pages, I don't know why! I had bought this little chipboard album at Michael's for a dollar and decided to give it a try. I added Crystal Effects and Martha Stewart Glitter to all the pages I think. Just to get a frosty feeling.

I've been working on a few cards this weekend, just took pictures of them but haven't processed them yet. I'm hoping to get a few done tomorrow too. I'll be working 4 days in a row, Wednesday through Saturday, which is unusual for me. But it'll be the 6th Saturday in a row I have to work! Very stressful for me, it's the busiest day of the week, although last Saturday went by pretty smoothly.

SIK challenge #7

The challenge was to use rub-ons and since I'm the master of ruining rub-ons I don't have many. I did go to the craft store and the only rub-ons I liked were silver color and I'm ashamed of the card I made so I won't show it to anyone! Today I decided to look through my stash and found rub-ons from Stampin'Up. I have just bought Basic Grey's Urban Prairie Collection and wanted to see if I could make a boy page with some of that girlie paper ;)

The black letters are rub-ons from Walmart. I like how the page turned out, I had thought of using the yellow as a background color but switched it to green and I'm glad I did.

I went on a ghosthunt last Friday with my husband and a few other people. My husband's friends are doing a couple ghosthunts in the oldest mansion in Asheville, the Smith-McDowell house. It is a museum now but we didn't go through it like you would normally do a museum. We had the lights off, armed with cameras and various tools for ghost hunting. It was very interesting and fun although the ghosts were off somewhere celebrating Friday the 13th *lol*

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day and a wonderful weekend! Seems like most people here went shopping yesterday (from what I saw at work).

I'll be back hopefully tomorrow with a mini album that I made yesterday.

Floral background stamp

After thinking about it for a while I decided to buy the floral background stamp from Stampin'Up (this was last fall) and of course it was just my luck that a month later that stamp was on SU's retired stamp's list. So now I can't sell it....but I can still use it. And I wanted to try and use it as the main stamp or only stamp on a few cards. I wanted to make cards that can be used for more than one occasion, but they are girly so I wouldn't use them for boys.

These cards are all done the same way, at the same time. I just used different shades of red/pink ink to stamp the floral stamp on a pale pink card stock. I made my own dress templates and cut out. I heat embossed the dresses with iridescent ice glitter from Stampin'Up. I used a border punch from Martha Stewart. I think they can be used as bridal/birthday/graduation/BFFvalentines-cards. The red one is my favorite.

Valentine's card and a LO

Let's start with the LO. SIK has challenges every other week and I made a LO for challenge 6, which was a sketch challenge. I flipped the sketch because I thought it would fit my picture better.

The designer paper is from SEI and the felt ribbon is from Martha Stewart. The jumbo eyelets are from Stampin'Up and the chipboard snowflake is from Bazzill. I covered the snowflake with Stazon Opaque ink, poured Crystal effects on it and Martha Stewart glitter.

My husband doesn't read my blog so I think it's safe for me to post the Valentine's card I made for him.

I was playing with my Floral background stamp (Stampin'Up), not really thinking about making a valentine's card but ended up making this one along with a few more card that I'll show you some other time. The scallop circles are made with Nestabilities dies (Spellbinder) and Cuttlebug machine. I punched the hearts out. All the cardstock is from Stampin'Up and the glitter on the hearts too (Iridescent Ice). I hope he'll like it. I don't have much experience in making Valentine's cards since I rarely send one and never receive one myself.
I hope, where ever you are, that the sun is shining (or moonlight!) and the weather is as good as here. It's freezing cold but it sure looks nice!

Christmas card and a LO

I tried writing a blog last Wednesday but gave up because my DS wouldn't leave me alone for one second, so I gave up before I even got pictures uploaded. Well, if I had known my laptop was getting sick I would have tried to stay focused. But instead I let DS play a Blue's Clues game and the computer froze and we haven't been able to use it since then. It wont stay shut down unless we take the battery out and if we turn it on we can get to the desktop and that's it, it just freezes. So now I'm using our old laptop and using dial-up again. And I can't do anything online. I can't read blogs...or at least not see the pictures, I can't see half of the websites I usually read because they're made for high speed connections. And on top of that we can't reach any tv channels and don't have cable. So I'm all by my lonesome every night my DH works. Don't you feel terribly sorry for me? I can't even use Facebook!!!!
I feel so sorry for myself...*lol* But I am so glad I had been smart enough to burn a few files to a CD, including a few projects for my blogs. And I got them of the CD to this laptop today.
I only got a couple of handmade cards this Christmas and here is one of them:

I got it from a friend in Sweden, Veronica. I think the image is from hAnglar & stAnglar. I think she did a great job coloring the image in. The designer paper is from Basic Grey (I'm pretty sure!). She also sent me a bunch of images that I've been trying out my Prismacolor Markers on. I'll post some of those soon. I just need a couple more color so they won't all look the same ;) I've only got 10 markers and I'm very slowly adding to my collection.
I also wanted to show you a LO I made. I sometimes sign up to participate in a game at the Icelandic Scrapbook forum and earlier this month I did that just for fun. This time it started out with a sketch and we had a few groups of 5 people each (if I'm correct) and the first person in each group got a sketch to follow. The next person in line got a picture of the LO the first person made and had to scraplift that LO. And the scraplift was sent to the 3r person and so on. Well, I was no. 4 I think in my group and I would love to show you the LO's from the first person to the last....but that forum is one of the things I can't look at with this horrible connection, so you'll only get to see my LO.

I just love this picture I took of my DS between Christmas and New Year. He probably spent an hour climbing and I got a lot of good shots. But I like this one the best because he's only got the sky behind him. I used paper from my Basic Grey stash, May Art ribbon (I think I'm correct on that one, I got them in a swap)and from a RAK I received this fall. The sentiment is a stamp from Stampin'Up. The buttons are from two different RAKs I've received in the past. The jumbo eyelets are from Stampin'Up.
Pretty simple but colorful :)
Now I'm just hoping and praying that this computer won't get the flu or I'll go insane!!!

I finally took a picture of the cards I made for the challenge over at Skrappi{kort}er. The challenge was to use ribbons on our creations. Check out the RAK you could get for participating.

I used dies from Spellbinders (Nestabilities) to cut the card bases. I found the designer paper in my stash, it's shiny and has a little bit of glitter on it. I colored the Elzybells with my SU markers and added stickles and Crystal Effects to the images. I couldn't decide which color to use for the card base so I just made one of each. My niece's birthday is coming up soon so I guess I'll send her one ;)
I don't have time to chit chat. My DS finally fell asleep and I've got a movie, that needs to go back to the library tomorrow, that I haven't watched. I'm working Wed/Thur/Fri and on Saturday I'm going to a Stampin'Up workshop and after lunch we'll drive to Tennessee to celebrate the New Year with our friends.....I know we're a "few" days late but we've finally got a chance to go!

well, the new year didn't start out to good. My husband and I both got a stomach flu. His was way worse than mine, I'm not going into any details. I just had the worst stomach ache that kept me awake every night, and it seemed like every night, when I had just fallen asleep, my DS woke up from having a nightmare. But since we can't afford for both of us to take sick days from work, I forced myself to go. I even took an extra shift yesterday but I was so tired that I slept 'til lunch today!!!
I did manage somehow, last Friday, to make a scrapbook page. I don't know where I found the energy to do it, but here it is:

The papers and embellishments (except that fiber/thread/wire....whatever it's called) are from the Alpine Frost collection from SEI. The pattern paper is so pretty, it's shimmery. I took the picture after my DS and I had trimmed the Christmas tree. And now I have to put all the Christmas decorations back in the boxes :( and I've told myself I'm not going to make a card until I get that done :o
We have not made it to Tennessee yet and wont be going until the 17th of January, and I'm hoping I can get my DH to stop at the scrapbookstore in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge ;)
I've got a busy week ahead, inventory at work tomorrow and I'm working Thursday, Friday and Saturday too. I learned a good trick at work last Saturday, someone had tried on a Ralph Lauren shirt and stuck their pink bubble gum on the sleeve!!! Well, what to do, what to do??? No freezer to put the shirt in, but my colleage in the jewelry department handed me some rubbing alcohol, I rubbed it on the inside of the sleeve, right under the chewing gum, and it came off....no stains!!!
I don't get why people do things like these at a store.
well, I better get to packing my Christmas stuff, there's a new challenge over at Skrappi{kort}er....and it's in English too! Check it out!

Soooo cute

Just before Christmas I found this little cute little snowman stamp. I just fell in love, he's so adorable! His name is FROSTY!
I didn't manage to make a lot of card using him, but I had so much fun coloring him in.

Isn't he the cutest little thing??? I colored him in with my SU ink and added glitter to his hat (Martha Stewars glitter and Crystal Effects of course!). The sentiment is a retired stamp from SU. I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch on the bottom of the cards, I got the punch from a friend (Takk Bryndís!).

We haven't been able to fix the USB connections on our computer, but today we got a part that helps us upload pictures from the camera and use the printer/scanner.
Christmas is almost here and my DS is getting really impatient, he wants to open all the presents NOW and doesn't get why he has to wait.
It's been pretty busy at my work and I'm getting really tired of the managment "accidentally" loosing my hours, two weeks in a row now they've managed to delete a whole day off my paycheck, but I wont let them get away with it. I'm not there as a volunteer. And I have tyo say I had no idea that people, in general, would go through so much just to try to pay less for the stuff they're buying (that is, if they're not stealing it). I mean, people are switching tickets on every single piece in their shopping cart and think they can get away with it. Unbelievable!
Anyway, I haven't made a card in a few days, just been getting ready for Christmas. But I've got a card to show you though ;)

The image is from My Favorite Things. I paperpieced the coat and colored the rest with my watercolor wonder crayons and a chocolate chip marker. I then covered the image with Versamark and Iridescent Ice (glitter) and heat embossed it. I made the icicles with Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The designer paper is from a retired collection from Stampin'Up.

Last Sunday we went to Grove Park Inn to look at the Christmas decorations and Gingerbread Houses. DS was not in a good mood, feeling a little bit under the weather, he was not to happy when I wanted to take his pictures.

I'm off work tomorrow and so is my husband, so I'll have a chance to cooka nice meal. I'll cook an icelandic lamb and we'll have homemade icecream for desert. I'll be making the icecream tonight and a cake for Christmas day.

Poinsettia

Hello everyone! Have you bought/made all the Christmas presents yet? I have bought most of them, I've got a couple of gifts left that I need to buy and ship to Iceland. I'll just have to take a chance and hope they'll get there before Christmas. Last year I sent all the packages the same day (to my parents, my brother and my sisters) and they all got there the 22nd or 23rd...except one....it didn't show up until the 7th of January for some reason. And we didn't get our presents from Iceland until the 29th of Dec. But this year my family has sent the packages early and they should get here anyday now.
I think I'm ready for a break from making Christmas cards. I've got a few to show you in the next couple of weeks. And I think I might be able to send homemade cards to just about everyone this year, I've got around 70 cards here, waiting to be written on and put in the mailbox ;)
Here's a card I made the other week. I got the stamp at Archiver's last year. The designer paper is from Stampin'Up, Holiday Treasures. I used my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug to cut the circle and the scallop circle.

The other card I'm showing you has no stamping on it. The designer papers are from Pink Paislee and Prima Marketing. The buttons are from Making Memories (Paperie Poolside). I got the snowflake at Michael's.

My DS, who's 3 and a half, said this card is COOL! So I guess I should like it too ;)
